Sometimes fabric just has someone’s name on it. I had six fat quarters of City Girl by Kitty Yoshida that I had started sewing into an Isabella bag quite some time ago and then put aside. When it resurfaced during our move, I thought about working on it, but just didn’t. Then, the other day, a dear friend of mine ordered something from our shop. Her birthday was days away, and I wanted to send her something. Instantly the half-finished bag came to mind.
I finished the bag as quickly as Silas would let me, and got the package in the mail. Not only was it great to finish a project, but knowing it was going to the perfect recipient just made it better. I just hope she enjoys it because it has her name all over it.
P.S. If you’d like to add a project you’ve complete from your stash to the comments, we’d love to see it!
