Stash Project: Sweetness Quilt

Well, I’ve been stashing this Bliss fabric for a while {and I had a couple charm packs too!} and now the time has finally come to make a quilt out of it {read: baby girl is dues any day now!}.  So, here’s my version of Sweet Peaby Camille Roskelley from her book Simplify {I decided to call mine “Sweetness”}.  While I had seen the pattern in the book, it was actually the mini version by Kristyne of Pretty by Hand {my mom is really the one who saw it, but when she showed me I knew I needed to make one}.

The original pattern was 42″ square, but I wanted mine to be a little longer, so I added a row of squares and a ruffle.  I really can’t ever seem to just follow a pattern straight through, but I love that this is a unique version!  Now I’m just anxious to see a little girl on it!

I really enjoyed using charm packs for this quilt, as I seem to collect them up and never actually use them. I like the look of all the pieces, without it being a lot of work. I would definitely make this quilt again!

A suggestion for your Stash Project v. 2012: let those of us who don’t have blogs participate! I followed the link to see what to do, since I recently finished a crib quilt that I was going to enter, and found I couldn’t.
