Hexie Love

After my tutorial, Summertime Adventures: Stitchy Hexagons, I have been making more and more of these. I am using Sophie by Chez Moi in this project, so pretty! I like all the prints in this line especially the pinks and blues.

In the middle hexagon is another little embroidery I stitched, it is one of my doodles. Β Then, I choose some embroidery floss to stitch them up with and enjoy them in any type of project, I think it adds a little something special.

I am still trying to decide if I should add more embroidered hexies and use them in the centers and make them into the traditional flowers or just let it grow and add embroideries randomly throughout. I am not sure when I will stop with this one, maybe a mini quilt, a baby quilt or table runner!
Thanks so much for all the sweet comments about my flowers it was so fun to read them. I am glad you all like to look at flowers as much as I do. Β Have a great day!

  1. LOVE! I still have yet to try my hand at some heagons. It would be so pretty to have embroidered hexagons randomly scattered amongst the fabric. I love that idea πŸ™‚

  2. Loving those hexis – especially in those fabrics! I’d add a bit more embroidery. It adds so much texture and is a jolt of excitement in between the fabric hexis.
