Some catching up and little girl dresses!

If you are following along with us in our Garden Steps Stitch & Quilt Along,  I am way behind! Trying to get caught up! I am not sure why I got so far behind, it is so relaxing to sit and stitch!

I just love these two little girl dresses that Patty from Lemon Lane Cottage made for me to give to my two sweet little granddaughters, Chloe and Norah! Aren’t they just adorable?  I had the fabric and she sewed them up for me. Not only did she do a beautiful job, she serged all the seams, added ricrac, and made the cute little flowers for the dresses and included an extra for hair bows. She has some already made dresses in her etsy shop, but since I  had this cute fabric for the dresses, she made a special listing.  I can’t wait to see them wearing them, they will be perfect for Summer.

This is a picture is my new (old) wicker settee that I have had for a few years, yesterday it got a
coat of paint and now I love it. I am going to make some cushions for it, or maybe buy some outdoor cushions that will endure the weather better. The planter is a gift from my sweet husband, it is getting all nice and weathered in the hot Virginia sun, he even planted it for me, well most of it!

Close up of flowers and planter box! Verbena is such a pretty flower! Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!

  1. I’m glad you are behind with your stitching. It makes me feel better about being behind too.

    Those dresses are the cutest.

Your verbena is very pretty. I have a few in my garden. I had a yellow one and then it rained and the flowers turned white.

  2. Where do I start-! The embroidery/log cabin is sew colourful. I love the little dresses-nice to see sleeves to protect from sunburn. That fresh coat of paint makes the wicker look brand new. Love the planter too.
