This looks like a heavenly vacation spot! We took our annual trip from Southern California to southern Arizona in July to see my husband’s parents. Eight hours in the car with three little girls age 5 and under — yikes! It was a great trip after all, but needless to say, the scenery was quite the opposite of your trip…
So beautiful! We have made it as far as Boston but Maine is on the top of my list of summer places to visit. We did our annual trip to San Antonio and we are planning a fall trip to Disneyland. We love to travel… especially the flying for free part.

I would love to visit Maine someday. It reminds me of the movie Spitfire Grill and a few Steven King movies. I have only visited as far north as Washington D.C. and Virginia.
So gorgeous…I would love to visit someday! And the Dresden sign…love!
A place I would love to visit, one day. Love the dresden sign. I passed through Quilty, Ireland many years ago. Pouring rain. I vowed that one day I shall go back and explore Quilty!
Hi, I live in maine, born here and will die here. But you know something, If you keep pn the interstate, there is so much more buty above where the light houses are. We up here live in two different Mains, all the people who come here, is missing so much by staying down on the coast. The Penobscot river runs behind my house, I see so many wild birds, including Canadin Geese, Four pairs of mateing Eagels who fly so low over my house because he just caught a big salmon, and has a hard time getting any hight. You should see them when they are fishing. This is just a little of the country up here that you are missing. I get upset that everyone thinks Maine stops at the coast, Just a Tad bit of Maine in me I guess. Gerry. Guyie@midmaine.com Have a Happy Day.
Beautiful photos!! I love light houses and would love to see some in Maine. We did a light house tour on our 25th anniversary 8 years ago up in Michigan and loved it. Hoping someday to make it to the east coast.

No traveling for me this summer….except via my blogging friends. Thanks for the visit to Maine!
Beautiful photos! I’ve been to Maine only once and I loved it.
What a pretty place to visit, Clara! And I love that the town is called Dresden.
Sadly, I have been nowhere for a holiday in quite a while – it’s about time I talked my man into doing something like this.
Thanks for the nudge!

I deleted my previous comment – it sounded like an advert and it wasn’t meant to. I love that you have shared your travels with us. I like to learn about new places and Maine looks lovely. I love lighthouses and I have even designed a couple of lighthouse patterns. A friend is currently staying in one for free in Norway, for a whole month, in exchange for helping with the redecoration (inside – not out!!). Thanks again.
