For my Modern Stitching Bee, Emily asked for reversed wonky stars, in a nine patch block, and, if we felt like it, a tiny star block. I made the tiny star block first, that way, if it didn’t turn out I could make two large start blocks…but it did turn out so cute {in my opinion!}.
I really like making blocks out of my favorite scraps, it’s nice to be able to use them. Since this block used 4 1/2″ squares, I was also able to pull in some squares I’d received from charm swaps too. I really am enjoying this quilting bee, I am puzzling over which block I’ll choose, as every time a new one is posted I want to copy it!
Have you ever made a block for a quilt bee and then decided you needed a quilt of it too?

Yeppers…
Every time I make a block. Lol. Btw, and did you see my mouthy stitches bag? It was made from your bundle at Sew Lux.
I love the light, delicate feeling these blocks have! They are such fun to make, aren’t they!
I’ve seen this bee block popping up in my reader a lot lately. I love the colors and prints you chose for yours! And I can see why you might want to make one for yourself.

Super cute blocks! I can think of two quilts that I have made from bee block inspiration…
