RJR Fabrics & the Anne handbag

We’ve been so anxious to show this bag to you!  My mom did an amazing job putting it together, when it arrived at my doorstep to photograph and send on, I kind of wanted to keep it myself!  It’s our Anne handbag made out of Cold Spring Dreams by Mary McGuire for RJR Fabrics.  This fabric will be making it’s debut at Quilt Market in Houston this fall, with the fabric shipping to shops in January 2013.

We didn’t have even a glimpse of the fabric until it arrived at my mom’s door a few weeks ago, but we were so thrilled to see how lovely it was!  It comes in two colorways, a pink & aqua and a purple & orange, here’s a shot of all the prints:

In addition to the bag {our pattern is actually going to be sold as a kit! woohoo!}, we made a few little girl dresses too, first, a simple pillowcase dress out of the pink & aqua:

And then the Abigail Peasant Dress by Pink Poodle Bows {which came together like a breeze, I highly recommend it!}:

And also the Pretty Princess Diaper Cover by Pink Poodle Bows {again, so easy, highly recommended!}:

We feel so blessed to have gotten the opportunity to work with this darling fabric, and are super excited these items are going to Quilt Market {even if we can’t make it this time}.  We’ll have a few more things made with this fabric to show soon…they’re just unsewn at the moment.  Thanks for letting us share our good news with you, we’d never have gotten this far without the great support of our families and those who read this blog!
