We’re Listening

This giveaway is now closed, we appreciate your input!

As I mentioned yesterday, we’ve been super busy, but the blog has been a little quiet. However, as we’re finishing up our projects {which we’ll get to show you in a few days when they’re complete!}, we thought it would be the perfect time to hear from you about what you’d like to see on our blog in the upcoming months: quilts? bags? clothes? Christmas gift ideas?

Because we appreciate your input, we thought we’d have a giveaway at the same time, so we’re giving away a $30 gift certificate to Sew Lux Fabric & Gifts and a pattern from our shop!

To enter just leave us a comment letting us know what you’d like to see in the future. And, if you’ve bought one of our patterns before, leave a second comment for a second entry. The giveaway will remain open for two weeks, closing on October 19 at midnight. We appreciate your thoughts!

The following two tabs change content below.
a mom, sewer, quilter, and lover of all kinds of pretty fabric and handbags!

I’d love ideas for Christmas gifts. Every year I swear I won’t get sucked in to making too many handmade gifts, but when I start to see all the cute ideas out there, I can’t help myself!

  2. says

I love reading your blog and appreciate all the helpful hints, lovely patterns and beautiful fabrics. I would like to see a few Christmas gift ideas. And as I am starting to get back to clothing sewing (haven’t done much in years) I would like to read your suggestions. Then quilting is definitely my heart!

I’d really like to see more bags. I’m new to bag making and have been looking for a suitable first project for myself, and it would be awesome to get as many bag making tips as I can!

  6. Anda says

I have followed your quilt – a – longs and would love more embroidery, perhaps tied in with Christmas! awolk at rogers dot com

  7. Allison C says

We just bought a house so I’m eager to make lots of kitchen items. Tutorials or even inspiration for towels, runners, coasters, etc. would be helpful.

  8. Jamie Lee says

I really only look at blogs for quilts. But that’s just me;) I like patterns, tutorials, and just plain photos of finished quilts.

  9. says

Well, I love your tutorials. I have never bought a pattern…mostly because I have made a ton of bags and tend to be ‘cheap’ when it comes to buying patterns. However, I love your QAL’s…and embroidery tutorials. You really got me onto something…now if I could just get back to it.

Thanks for a chance to win that beautiful bundle. Have a great day.

  15. cindy says

I’m with the others….smaller projects that can be accomplished by Christmas. I’m starting to look through my patterns and bookmarks and Pinterest boards for ideas….I can always use new ones to inspire.

  16. says

I like to make table runners, for myself and as gifts. So I would love more of those. Any type of tutorial is a plus for me, as I am more visual in learning :-)

Ciao, mi piace moltissimo il vostro blog e mi piacerebbe vedere qualcosa per Natale. Cose carine e veloci, il tempo non basta mai! Un abbraccio.

  24. Melissa in GA says

I would like to see more in-depth instructions for sewing a zipper pouch. I can’t determine how the zipper should lay when I stitch around the entire bag. I followed your goodie pouch tutorial at The Moda Bake Shop and this is the only step I have difficulty with.

http://www.modabakeshop.com/2012/06/goodie-pouch.html – “Fold the pieces so that the right sides of the pouch are together and the lining is together {as shown above} and stitch 3/8″ around the bag, leaving a 3″ opening along the bottom of the lining {note: make sure the zipper is partially unzipped}”.

Another 101 sewing tutorial idea – how to make your own bias tape.

  25. says

I would love to see projects that are quicker to complete for around the home. Table runners, placemats, small square quilts for table toppers, anything that we can fit in between those projects that are already crowding our to-do list or the things we already have in process. Sometimes it is nice to step away and get a fix of a smaller project that has caught our eye and then we can get back to our big quilt. I really have been drawn to English Paper Piecing lately, so that I can work it anywhere I go, but I have had enough of Hexagons, I am looking for those other patterns to catch my attention, I just can’t seem to find any… anywhere on the web!!

  28. says

I have never bought one of your patterns, but I have had my eye on the Brooklyn Bag. I can’t decided if I would be able to make it look as good as the one you posted, how hard is it?

  29. Jeannie says

I’d love to see Christmas gifts! Although I know a lot of people who are having babies so baby gifts would be great, too.

  30. says

I like a bit of variety, to a bit of everything really! Not too much Christmas themed stuff (gift ideas are fine) as the whole of blogland turns into a Christmas theme for a month or two and it gets too much!
