I finished up my book bag yesterday, now I’m anxious to go to the library to try it out! I’m planning to put together a simple tutorial so everyone can make one too…but my computer time seems super limited these days. If I ever sit down to get any work done, Silas rushes over and says “it’s time to get down”, the phrase he uses when he wants down from his high chair, and attempts to capture our new, cordless, mouse. He’s also been telling me to “hang up phone” lately.
But, I did get all the pictures taken, so it should only be a matter of a few days. But, I loved the finish, and I couldn’t wait to share. Now I’m itching to do a little reading.
I’ve also discovered my library has quilt books…any recommendations?

That’s a wonderful bag! There’s nothing like real, hold-in-your-hand books.
I love having my own book bag! And there are far too many great quilting books out there! I love my library!

Wow, how darling this is. I love the design and the fabric…Smiles…Renee
Your book bag turned out really cute!
Cute bag – love the themed embroidery! I love getting quilt books at the library b/c I pickup anything and everything, 3 or 4 at a time. Since I’m only borrowing, I’m not nearly as choosy as if I was parting with $$ from my fabric budget.
Your book bag is adorable especially with your lovely embroidery……looking forward to the tutorial.
I love the bag….so pretty
I enjoy visitng your blog…

Jennie, the bag is beautiful – I know it will serve you well. I am sure Silas and Norah can’t wait to go to the library and get some “new” books! XOXO
my library is FULL of wonderful quilt books…i search the card catalog often…and I find that i set the search to search most recent … otherwise, im stuck looking at lots and lots of old books!
or try searching “modern quilting” that brings up a lot of good stuff too!
your bag is just wonderful!
This is a great bag and the fabric is perfect. My daughter takes my grandkids to the library so it would be nice to make one. Yours is special with the embroidery. Really nice. Thank you for the idea.
Such a sweet bag!! Love it! xo Heather
