New Quilts

I started this little baby/doll quilt when I started my other granny quilt and am now trying to decide what to use for the sashing. I am thinking a small floral print would look better than white. Plus, I like pink! What do you think??

Also on the agenda is a Christmas quilt for a super sweet family!! I am using a layer cake of Blitzen by BasicGrey. I am going to use the slate to make a snowball quilt, very appropriate for Winter, don’t you think?

Oh my goodness, I am enjoying all the decorations, gift ideas, baking goodies, parties and craft tutorials on so many wonderful blogs!! To have so much at our finger tips is amazing. Hope you are enjoying them too!

  2. The pink floral would make perfect sashing! And grey for the Christmas quilt seems appropriate for a northern hemisphere Christmas.

  3. I love your granny square quilt. It might be the best one I have ever seen as you have used almost all of my favorite fabrics!! I love the small floral print too! Can’t wait to see how your snowball Blitzen quilt turns out too! I love how you chose a pattern that goes with the theme of the quilt.

  4. Dear Clover & Violet,
Would it not ascetically pleasing to the eyes that your border be a plain pink material. One of the lovely soft pinks Material would be just the thing as the pinks in your squares are busy therefore a plain would be restful for the eyes. Mind you that is my preference so maybe a contrasting colour may give you a pleasing “pop” of interest.
