I am still working away on catching up. These blocks are on their way to Cindy for the Modern Stitching Bee this week. The block was really fun to make, and I think the finished quilt will be stunning. They are the Depression Block, and I used this tutorial.
Fortunately, Modern Stitching Bee took December off, so I’m caught up now. My month is January, so I’m the one who will be collecting blocks! They’re turning out beautifully too…
I will be sharing a few other small finishes this week, as I try to clean up my sewing area so I can start some new projects. It seems like it gets cluttered with tiny half projects {like sewing the button holes on Norah’s bunting}, so I need to clear them out, instead of just starting more new stuff.
Which brings me to the Finish-A-Long, which will be taking place at Leanne’s blog this year. Rhonda started last year, and we all need to clear out our WIPs! I’ll be posting mine later this week.
That’s all for now, I really need to get organized this year, so I’m spending this first month getting things in order, and then I will evaluate my goals. Don’t you just love the fresh start of New Years?

A mother-daugher {best friends} team who love to spend our days together {long distance} sewing, quilting, designing, drinking coffee, chatting, and chasing our little ones!

It’s nice to be caught up isn’t it!? Your Depression blocks are great!
Those blocks are beautiful, the colors are so bright and cheery!
Love your blocks!!
I firmly believe I will never catch up until someone takes my children for a week, leaves me alone in my house with about $5000 to spend on organization stuff and a maid service. Ha ha ha! I am so funny in the new year!
I hope it’s a great one for you, and that’s no joke.
love those blocks! I especially like the orange fabrics you used.

Love the Block, is this for the 4×5 modern? I am asking because I love it and I think it might be good for one of the members. The colors are brilliant and this is what the 4×5 mod swap is all about ……thank you for sharing
