a season by handWe hope you’ve enjoyed our Season by Hand series of guest posts, if you still want to start something, there is time, and lots of inspiration in the posts!  And now, we’d love to see what you have been making by hand this summer!

To be eligible to win you must have made something completely by hand or with a large (over 50%) hand made element during the series {June 3rd – August 9th}.  Examples of partially handmade items include: machine pieced mini quilt that is hand quilted, machine sewn pillow with an embroidery design, etc.  If you have a question about an entry, please leave a comment with your entry number and question and we will reply in the comments.

The item can be hand pieced, quilted, knit, crochet, embroidery or cross stitch. Although there are many other types of projects that are made by hand, we’re limiting the projects to those within the scope of this blog and series.

You may enter by submitting a blog post, Flickr photo, Instagram photo to the linky. Since the amount of time required to make something by hand varies greatly, each participant is eligible to enter a maximum of two entries. If your finished item is 24″ x 24″ or smaller, you may only enter a finished item {or an item that the hand work portion is finished on, such as hand piecing}. If it is larger {for example: a hand pieced or hand quilted quilt} the finished portion should measure at least 24″ x 24″. Again, because of the variation of time required to make things by hand, this is the best way we can think of to make it fair for everyone.

Since everyone has a variety of skills, the winners will be drawn at random.  The sponsors have really given away some amazing prizes, so make sure you show them a little love:

  1. This has been a great load of inspiration and tutorials, I finally gave EPP a try and fell in love! Thanks for hosting!

  2. I want to thank you for one of the most enjoyable and inspirational hops I have ever followed. My first love has been embroidery – all kinds from embroidery to cross stitch to drawn thread and hardanger. It’s wonderful to see all being incorporated together. I’ve also started EPP. Thanks again.

  3. Thank you for hosting this great series of posts! So much ideas and inspiration! I’m happy to be able to join with my first paper pieced mini quilt ‘Summer Wine’.
Cheers to You and sunny wishes from Greece! Teje

  4. Thanks for a really fun blog hop. I just wanted to check – can I enter a hand pieced pillow cover that is not yet quilted? I have been working madly to get the hand quilting done too but am not sure whether my interpretation of the rules is correct? Thank you 🙂

  5. Hi Jennie & Clara, I have a few questions. I sadly admit I am not technically savvy. I do not have a blog (at this time) but would love to add a cross-stitched pillow I made, but for the life of me cannot figure out how to do it. I hope I am not the only computer-challenged one around….sigh. If you can put this in “Barney” terms for me, I would be so grateful!

I have really enjoyed this series, it has been fun to meet the different bloggers. I sighed up for several more…as if I didn’t have enough to read and enjoy already!
    XOXO

  6. Hello! I want to enter this and post two of the items I have made (Crayon Roll Up and Mug Rugs) but I cannot figure out how. Also – are these items okay for the contest?

When I click on the link it takes me to a form that asks for :”Link To” – which I have no idea what to put there. Also, when I tried to get to my photos none of the three choices let me do anything.

Can you please help me! A long time ago I was computer “smart” – but ten years out of the workforce and everything has passed me by!!

    Thank you for your help!

  7. My entry (#45) is not showing up as a thumbnail – just a box. If you click on the box it does bring up the picture. I know it is user error, but I do not know what I did or how to fix it. I set it up through photo bucket (new account) then after that do not know what I did wrong.

Can you help me please! Is this entered or do I need to resubmit? Thanks for your help – I am learning!!
