Bee Blocks {My First}

I have been working on the first set of bee blocks for the Modern Stitching Bee group that I have joined. I hope she likes them!

Block number one!

Since I had never done a swap before I decided to make some practice blocks.

It was really fun rummaging through all my fabric choosing sets. I am now looking at my stash much differently. Pairing fabric together that I had never even thought of before.

I love this new challenge and I think it will be good in so many ways. I also am seeing my need for some more modern fabrics. I do sitll love the cute little prints and will keep adding those to my stash but now I will add some more larger print fabrics too. I guess that means more shopping for fabric, hope my hubby doesn’t mind.

      Hi Gina,
      Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun digging through fabric!

    Clara, I thought I would share something I started at the beginning of last year’s bee. Every time I make a block for someone I made myself the same block. It did two things really: gave me a practice block and when I put them together I will have a beautiful scrappy sampler quilt. Just thought I would share.

    BTW, your blocks are beautiful!!
