Little Kid’s Train Carrier Bag

Train-Purse-1

My mom made this cute train carrier for his Thomas the Trains.  Since he likes to take them with him when we go out, it is a great place to keep them organized.

It holds eight trains in individual pockets.

Here you can see them all tucked inside.  I think Silas likes taking them out as much as he likes using it {though, he always wants me to put them in!}.

Train-Purse-2

It has two of our favorite type of closure, invisible magnets, to keep it together and so little hands can easily pull it apart!  My mom also made and  stitched this silhouette of Gordon on the front, one of Silas’s favorite engines.

Trains

This is how we spend most of our evenings, and now Silas can take his trains along with him when we’re not at home too!

  1. Oh look at Silas, isn’t he so cute!! We sure enjoy watching him and Norah play with their trains. Such a perfect toy for little ones their age!!

  2. This brings back happy memories. My son (now 28) loved Thomas the Tank Engine. We still have tons of Brio train sets in our attic and he was even a member of the Brio Engineer’s club. He slept with his engineer’s cap for years and spent most of his childhood in engineer striped overalls.
It’s a wonderful tote. He really has a special grandma.

  3. That’s so darling!

Reminds me of my baby brother, the only boy in a family of five kids. He found the biggest tote-about he could find to carry around his little cars and trucks. My Dad about had a fit when the carry-all turned out to be Great Gramma’s old handbag that was just about as big as he was! lol

  4. This is such a great idea, and so beautifully put together…..I love the combination of the patchwork and the applique train on the outside, and the storage pockets and train print fabric on the inside! And how happy Silas looks too!
