Isabella Pattern Update

Time flies and things change so much, that it seemed only necessary to update one of our very first patterns: the Isabella bag.  This bag was originally designed sometime in 2009, and is what launched us into the bag pattern designing world.  Interestingly, I originally thought I’d sell some of these bags on Etsy {and did, a few, but found I kept getting requests for a pattern instead}.  Although quilted bags have become quite the trend, there were not nearly as many available five years ago when we started designing ours {and even fewer with a binding on them, like our bags!}.

This bag, out of Cotton Blossoms, Bonnie & Camille’s first line, is the one I made for myself before Silas was born.  It’s seen a lot of love, and I even used it to pack some magazines, etc., when I went to the hospital to have Lydia.

Since this bag has been around for a while, we didn’t feel that the pattern was up to the quality of our more recent patterns.  So it has had a bit of a facelift!  If you’ve purchased this pattern and would like the updated version, please send us an e-mail with a copy of your receipt, and we’ll be happy to get the new one out to you.

It is such an adventure designing bags and other things, we have some new patterns in the works too!  We never thought this would be the route our little shop would take, but we’re enjoying the adventure!

  1. Hello Clara,
What stands your patterns apart from others is the detail in the design and the instructions which makes novice bag makers like me look very competetent, and really builds my confidence.
