Bee Blocks In & Out

Just in for a short post. I got two more of my blocks for the Sew Sweet Bee.

The first one is from Kerri of Sew Deerly Loved on etsy, her blog is Lovely Little Handmades. She has the cutest tutorials on her blog, I could spend hours looking at them. Love the little deer in the center square.  Kerri also kindly sent me a fat quarter of the cutest little floral print, it goes perfectly with my stash!!

This next block is from Nanette of Freda’s Hive. She sent this cute block with some prints I have never seen before and I love it very much. Thank you Nannette!! She also sent along a little package of cute embellishments!!

Now for the out! I got busy making my two blocks to send off to Diane of  Random Thoughts Do or Di, for the Modern Stitching Bee that I also belong to. I am getting these in the mail just under the wire. They were so fun to make and I really like how the low volume make the centers stand out.  I also learned I really don’t have much in the way of jewel tones! Hmm, maybe some more shopping is in order, well probably not just shop as needed, right!!

It was fun digging through fabric to make these blocks for her, I hope she likes them. They will be in the mail on Monday.

Just a short post but I wanted to show them off before I put them in the mail, so I don’t forget.

Have a great weekend. It’s raining here, but not snowing so I am not complaining. It’s perfect sewing weather!!
