Organization :: Tidy Bobbins

Hi guys my name is Donna from  donnaslavenderest.  I am so excited to be here with Clover & Violet as a contributor.  Each month I will show you different ways to organize your sewing room.

bobbin threads 1  Do your bobbins ever look like this?

hair ties

I have found that if you use these hair ties it will keep the thread in place.  You can find the hair ties at most Wal-Marts or Dollar Store’s.

bobins all tied up

I just love them and use them to coordinate with the thread colors.   Makes it easier to know what color thread is on your bobbin.   I found the bobbin case at JoAnn’s it has a lid and keeps your bobbins in place and neat.  The bobbin case is by Dritz.

Thank you so much to the ladies at Clover and Violet for having me over.  It has been a lot of fun.    I will see you here again next month.  I would love it if you would stop in and visit me a while at  donnaslavendernest

Hugs,

donna

  1. Thank you Donna. I bought some of those hair ties for my little girl but they were useless for using in her hair. Now they have a new purpose and my bobbins are looking much better. 🙂

  2. That is a fantastic idea! I’ll be grabbing some next time I’m at the Dollar Store. At least I hope they still have them. Stores never seem to have the things I’ve seen before when I finally have an idea on what to do with it! lol

  3. I like using the sprial binding rings from the office supply store. You can cut them singulauly or cut as many as you need . These are great for taking with you to class or retreat and the bobbins stay put in a nice neat row.

  4. Is there a clear option so you can quickly see your thread color? I like the idea of corralling all those loose thread ends!

  5. Great idea, Donna! I never thought to coordinate the pony holder color to the thread color. Brilliant!
