I made a bag last weekend. I was asked by Fons & Porter if I’d like a copy of Sew4Home Bags and Totes and when I saw the big zipper top bag on the front, I knew I had to make it.
I didn’t have any faux leather, like the pattern called for, so I ended up choosing linen with interfacing to go with the pretty yellow canvas I found at Hobby Lobby.
Since I love making and designing bags, I was thrilled to see so many great, easy to sew bags in this book. If you are a beginner, you’ll love the clear directions, classic projects, and all the techniques you’ll learn in the process.
Over all, I’m pleased with how this bag turned out, and since it’s a gift, I hope the recipient is too! I think this would be an excellent travel bag, or shopper, if you’re looking to hold a lot of stuff.
Note: While I was provided this book for free, all opinions are my own. I was surprised by how much I really did love the projects!
