We’re excited to introduce you to the newest members of our team. With our pattern business steadily growing, and our family time shrinking, it seemed like it was time to welcome some bloggers on board to help keep this space from getting too quiet. Each Wednesday for the remainder of the year you’ll be hearing from one of our lovely contributors, so we’d like to introduce them here.
Rachel :: Sew Happily
Rachel blogs at Sew Happily – where she shares her obsession and love of sewing and quilting. In real life, she’s happily married to Edmund, and they have a precocious two year old daughter, Reagan (who often appears on Sew Happily). While she teaches first graders the three Rs during the school year, her creativity expands beyond the classroom and into all facets of her life. A self-taught seamstress and quilter, Rachel loves the online blogging world, and will be sharing children’s fashion and tutorials.
Donna :: Donna’s Lavender Nest
Donna spends most of her time in her sewing room and shop. Her Maltese, Duchess, keeps her company as she sews and quilts. She blogs at Donna’s Lavender Nest, runs a long arm quilting business and a sewing and notions shop. When Donna is not in her sewing room she loves to go antiquing with her husband and spend time with her family. Donna’s posts will focus on organization ideas and tips.
Susi :: Lillaluise
Working behind the scenes of Lillaluise are Susi, an almost 30 year old mommy and her main source of inspiration, Jamie, a wild but wonderful little girl. They both got their heads full of ideas and dreams and are usually busy creating wondrous things of all sorts or cooking up a storm in the kitchen! Susi´s main passion is sewing, but also loves a variety of other crafts like quilting, stitching, knitting and many more. Their blog is a place full of everyday magic and the pretty things in life. Susi will be sharing projects to make with children.
Chrissy :: Sew Lux Fabric
Chrissy has always enjoyed crafts of all sorts and grew up watching her mother sew clothing, Halloween costumes, and more. She learned to sew from her mom as a girl and fell in love with fabric and quilts after high school. She enjoys using precuts and designing her own patterns for quilts, minis, and pillows, many of which she shares as tutorials on her blog. In 2010, she and her mom opened an online fabric shop and haven’t looked back! Chrissy will be hosting a mini-medallion quilt along with a new border added monthly.
We’re so excited to welcome these ladies on board as part of our team!
