A quilt waiting for a baby!

This little baby quilt top is all sewn together and ready to be backed and quilted. I love the way it turned out, so bright and cheery. Ruby is definitely one of my favorites and the more I see it the more I like it. Jennie and I decided to change it just a little bit by having the dresdens along the right side (original pattern is Sugar Dish by Cluck, Cluck, Sew). I think it is really cute that way.

I chose the gray floral for the backing and the red with the little dot for the binding.  I haven’t decided if I will hand sew the binding or machine sew it on yet.

Soon there will be a sweet and cuddly little baby to wrap up in this quilt. We are all excited to meet her and see how big brother Silas does with having a little sister. I think he will want to give her lots and lots of kisses. I plan on giving him lots of kisses too!

  2. This is so pretty! You are such a talented quilter! The dresden plates look like a lot of love and precision piecing must have gone into them. I can’t wait to see how you quilt it.
