New & Improved Hoop
Since my goal for January is to embroider the rest of my Garden Steps, I thought it was about time I got a new embroidery hoop. This is a Clover Embroidery Hoop and my mom has been using one just like it for a while. What she loves about it is the top part doesn’t catch the thread while stitching {this happens to me all the time on my other hoops}.
So, now I have block eight all ready to go! I’m super excited to settle in and do some stitching in the evenings…maybe I should re-watch the first two season of Downton Abbey in preparation for the 3rd {I know it’s started now, but I haven’t had a chance to watch yet, so maybe I”ll watch the others again first!}.
I have this hoop too and really love using it over the traditional wooden ones. The fact that the threads don’t catch is such a sanity preserver.
Oh wow, I’ve never seen that hoop, but my thread is always catching too. I might have to try and find one. =)
my mom got one recently too. She hasn’t decided if she likes it or not. I definitely suggest the downton abbey review. I had been sick for a few days and got most of the way thru the reruns that pbs has been playing of season two, but it just caused me to want to start at season 1 and work my way thru the whole thing again.
I don’t know about you, but products like these always make me think, “Why didn’t I think of that? I’d be a millionaire now!” I just always resigned myself to the thread catching on the screw, never imagining that such a little annoyance could be fixed. Thank you for introducing us to this nifty product (and giving me a good reason to visit my little local fabric shop)!
I have got to get one! I also hate the screw on the traditional hoops!
Looking forward to seeing more of your finishes,
Stefanie
