Finished Sophie Car Seat/Stroller Quilt {Baby Lydia}

I have just finished the latest handmade item that I made for little baby Lydia. Her very own car seat/stroller quilt. I used Jennie’s tutorial over at the Moda Bake Shop.

It is washed and dried and all crinkly for her to cuddle up under. It is getting very cold where they live, and around here too. No snow yet, but maybe soon!!

The quilt pattern is from Allpeoplequilt.com, a free pattern, it is designed by Darlene Zimmerman and is called Fresh Tradition Doll Quilt! I originally saw this quilt on a really cute blog, Messy Jesse, and was very inspired to make my own for Lydia. I am glad that I did because the colors are perfect.

I used a partial charm pack from Chez Moi, it is called Mimi. I also used a  Moda Bella Solid in Plum that I purchased from my local quilt shop. I would love to own so many of their great colors. It is truly like candy looking at them all.

The thread that I quilted it with was in my thread drawer from a long time ago. It is the perfect plum color, I think!!

The back and binding fabric is from Chez Moi, it is from the Coquette line. Perfect match too! I can’t wait to see it with sweet baby Lydia covered up with it. I hope it keeps her cozy warm when taking car trips or outside. I did layer it with  Warm & White cotton batting. This baby needs warm quilts as they are in a cold part of the country.

Are you busy getting ready for Christmas? I have done a little shopping. It is really fun shopping for toddlers and babies, which we now have 5 in the family. I just mainly shop in the toys and clothes. Fun, fun, fun!!
