Swapaholics Retreat :: Secret Sister {Received!}

Secret-Sister-1Whew, I guess I need a vacation from my vacation! Reorganizing after being gone for the weekend {and all the craziness that was packing and leaving} has taken me over a week now! There are piles of laundry {clean!} all over the place, and sewing stuff to put away, but it is worth every minute.

Secret-Sister-2{Nearly?} Everyone at Swapaholics Retreat had a secret sister. These were assigned well in advance, and the participants were given opportunities to fill out multiple questionnaires to help their secret sisters. Mine was Stacy Olson of @stacyolsondesign, who also ended up sitting right next to me.

Secret-Sister-3While it wasn’t planned that we were right next to each other, it turned out pretty special that we got to spend all that time together and then to have all these lovely things she chose and made for me to take home!

Secret-Sister-5I think one of the most fun things about the secret sister is that it brought people together all weekend. Since people were receiving amazing gifts left and right from someone they didn’t know, we all had a great time sharing them with our neighbors and trying to figure out who was leaving them.

Secret-Sister-4Stacy was so sweet and thoughtful and everything was perfect! I know I’ve said it before {and I’m sure I’ll say it in every post} but it was an amazing treat to be able to connect with so many quilters in real life! Now whenever I read an IG post I can hear the way they talk and it’s just brought a whole new outlook on quilting and sewing!

Secret-Sister-7So, now you see the goodies I received, I’ll share what I made in my next retreat post. It’s been a busy couple of weeks, as life always is with small children, but I hope you’re enjoying a peek at what was made and shared at retreat!

  1. Pretty cool to have Stacy for a SS. The mini grannie is on my to do list. Her IG feed is lovely. Have you worked with linen? I am seeing so much of it now, esp with Erin’s Sew Sweetness book.

  2. These are all just wonderful, she really knew what you would like and work hard to make them all special. I especially like the sweet pencil case and mini quilt. x
