The Rosie Baby Basket & Little Dolly Fabric

| |

I had the privilege of sewing with Elea Lutz’s new Little Dolly for Penny Rose fabrics for the showcase this week, and I’m so excited to show you what I made: a baby basket for my littlest girl’s dollies!

I made one of these baskets before, for a neighbor’s birthday, and my girls were so anxious to have one of their own. The sweet prints in Little Dolly were just perfect for this project. The scale and colors lend themselves so naturally to this larger project too. Since I had planned out this basket when I requested the fabrics, my three-year-old got to pick her favorites (with a little help).

She immediately had her Baby Stella dressed and ready for a ride in the new basket (which she has been asking for since I started making it two days ago!).

Look at that smile! I think this project was a success! And, since so many people asked about a basket pattern when I made the first basket, I’ve put one together, and it’s in the shop now!

  1. What a cute little basket! My goodness, your daughter has grown so much! I remember when you were expecting her. She is absolutely adorable. I love the basket, too, especially the little ruffle edge. I’m so glad your daughter is happy with her basket!
