Notepad Cover {Moda Sliced Contest}

Have you seen the Sliced Competition over at the Moda Bake Shop?  Well, it seems like a Project Runway for quilters/sewists, and I love those kind of competitions…so I decided to whip up an entry and audition {by whip up, I mean spend the better part of a week on!}.  So, here you have it, my new Kindle Fire cover {find the tutorial here}.

I made it with a charm pack, some batting, elastic, Velcro, the required buckle, and a little plastic canvas {my favorite affordable reinforcement!}.  The best part is, this can be adjusted to any size to fit any tablet you might own {or a paper notebook or planner too!}.

On the inside you’ll fine a sleeve for the canvas, as well as a couple pockets for bushiness cards or whatever you might want to store, and my Kindle Fire is held in place by some sturdy elastics.

I’ve based the design off the Kindle 2 Cover I made a few years ago.  Even out of the sold listings, I still get questions about it, so it seems like a popular item! Hopefully it is what the judges are looking for.  Now, I have a baby cooing at me from the swing…back to mommy work!
