Perfectly Pretty Patchwork Book Tour

| |

Today I’m sharing the sweet pencil pouch I made from the new book, Perfectly Pretty Patchwork by Kristyne Czepuryk of Pretty By Hand. Let me tell you, everythign Kristyne makes is full of the sweetest details, so I pulled out those sweet Elea Lutz Milk & Honey fabrics that I received for the blog hop!

I was a little intimidated by the number of tiny patchwork squares, so I sewed some strips together at the required width and then used those to make the patchwork panel, it worked like a charm – EXCEPT that pressed my seams open! Do not do this! I had a terrible time lining up all those tiny points, I should have just waited to press so that I could nest my seams. I’m glad to say, those mismatched points don’t show so much and the pouch is still pretty.

There are so many cute projects in this book, each with many sweet, hand stitched details. I am so happy with how this turned out and my littlest daughter has already claimed it for her pencils to match her new backpack!

I think Milk & Honey and Perfectly Pretty Patchwork are a match made in heaven! Hoping your week is off to as sweet a start!
