The Alice Backpack – Pattern Release & Thanksgiving Sale

It’s Thanksgiving week (make sure you scroll all the way down for the coupon!) in the United States, and my family is going on a big trip in a couple weeks, so I spent a bunch of time sewing while the kids played and sewed them up some cute little backpacks to take to Disneyland with them! I was so pleased with how they turned out that I made myself one and turned them into a sewing pattern too! Let me introduce the Alice backpack:

I had just a fat quarter of each of these feature prints, but yardage of the blenders, so I paired them together to make a statement! I tried one on my little one, but haven’t taken any fancy photos because the trip is a surprise for my kiddos! So, here are a couple of cell phone, kitchen pantry door photos of my 5-year-old sporting her backpack.

You can see that the zipper portion creates two pockets, perfect for a water bottle or stuffed animal!

She’s wearing the small pack, but I’ve also made a medium and large as well, so that they fit a variety of sizes.

I’m thinking these will also be useful for little hikes (when we don’t quite need a full backpack), taking things to the pool (water resistant fabric would make them great pool bags!), carrying a few essentials when we go walking, going to the gym, pretty much anything.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to read this post. It’s been a while since I’ve been much of a blogger, but I’m missing it. The speed of Instagram doesn’t match much with my lifestyle these days, so hopefully I can get a bit more of a regular blogging presence over the next few weeks! I’d love to know what you’ve been up to and if you’re still reading blog posts too!

And! Enjoy 30% off all my pdf patterns in the shop with the code thanks30 through Monday, November 26, 2018!
